Parnassos Strovolou

Handball took root at APS Parnassos Strovolou as one strand of a wider sports club serving Strovolos, the district of Nicosia that gives the section its name, and by 1957 it had a team of its own on the court. For decades that was overshadowed in Cypriot handball by SPE Strovolos, the club's main rival in the sport.

Between 2018 and 2020, Parnassos took the Cypriot Cup twice, the Super Cup twice, and then the Cypriot League itself in successive seasons, 2019 and 2020.

Squads drew on imported experience — Nikos Passias arrived in 2021 from Olympiacos, and Russian international Yegor Yevdokimov spent two seasons at the club before 2022 — alongside Cypriot internationals Vassilis Demosthenous and Konstantinos Vlachakis. A third Super Cup, in 2025, showed the title-winning years were not a single isolated peak.
