In 1949, a works side called DOSA was formed. The club has never moved and never merged with anyone.
Its one league title came in 2002, under Kudrat Ismailov, who had taken over the year before. He came back twice more — a single season in 2005, then a three-year spell from 2008 — without repeating it.
The cups have been kinder. Kurban Meredov won the Turkmenistan Cup in 2007, in the middle of a two-year stay; the Federation Cup followed in 2014. Then, in 2021, Rahmangulı Baýlyýew arrived in August and had the Turkmenistan Cup by the end of the campaign. He is still in charge. The Super Cup has produced three finals and nothing else.
The ground holds 5,000 and carries the club's name. Home shirts are blue, the change kit white with blue shorts.
The goalkeeper in that 2021 Cup side was Nikita Gorbunov, back for a second stint after a first in 2018.
