Triglav

Anže Kuralt came up through the Triglav youth system before going on to play in the ICEHL and represent Slovenia at senior level. That same academy also carried Jaša Jenko into the Alps Hockey League, while further back Anže Terlikar arrived in 2012 already seasoned by years in the Austrian Hockey League.

Triglav has been playing since 1968, based in Kranj, in the Gorenjska region, where hockey has never belonged to one club alone. HDD Jesenice sits a short drive away, and matches between the two are still called the Gorenjski derbi. Domestically, the Slovenian Championship itself has stayed just out of reach; the closest Triglav has come was finishing runners-up in 2021–22, after an earlier era when they won the Yugoslav Republic Championship in successive seasons either side of 1970/71.

Where the club has actually built something is in the International Hockey League, the regional competition it now treats as its stage: titles in 2020–21, 2021–22, 2023–24 and 2025–26. Locally they play as the Orli, the Eagles, in blue, white and orange, out of the Zlato Polje ice hall.

Before any of that silverware, in the early 2000s, Triglav had briefly hosted Vladimir Svitek, a Slovak international with Finnish Liiga experience and an NHL draft pick by the Philadelphia Flyers, at the tail end of his career. But the name still tied hardest to the club's own history belongs to Miha Ahacic, its all-time leader in both games played and goals scored.
