Ainslie Park (Van Loq Community Stadium)

The name over the gate has changed twice, but the address has not: 94 Pilton Drive, in Edinburgh's Pilton and Crewe Toll area. Spartans FC built this ground from scratch after leaving City Park, opening in November 2008 on a design from Smith Scott Mullan, and the club has played on artificial turf here ever since. Spartans W.F.C. share the pitch, and for stretches so did others — Edinburgh City F.C. called it home between 2017 and 2022, Hibernian's women's side played here from 2016 to 2021, and Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale used it for the 2021/22 season. That turnover says something about the ground's role in the city: a community stadium in the fuller sense, not built around one tenant.

Capacity sits at 3,500, with 534 seats, though the record crowd here belongs to a friendly rather than a league fixture — 3,127 turned out on 23 July 2011 to watch Manchester United visit Pilton Drive. The bigger crowd in the club's history, 3,346, was drawn to the old City Park ground for a match against St Mirren back in February 2006, before the move.

Most recently, in January 2025, the stadium took on a new name again: Van Loq Community Stadium, under a sponsorship deal with the recruitment agency of that name, tied to the club's development plans within the SPFL. Locals, by most accounts, still call it Ainslie Park.
