Akademie-Arena (Sportzentrum Zuzenhausen)

The Akademie-Arena, part of the Sportzentrum on Meckesheimer Straße, opened in July 2016.

There is no pressure to dress it up as a cathedral of the game; it is a working academy pitch, natural grass kept to a standard that suits players a few years from the first team rather than a crowd.

Local club FC Zuzenhausen also calls the ground home, giving the arena a second identity alongside its role for Hoffenheim's academy — a village side and a Bundesliga club's youth setup sharing the same patch of grass.
