The Aleksandar Nikolić Hall has stood in the Palilula district of Belgrade since 1973. Originally Pionir Hall, it has hosted the city's basketball teams through every change of name and regime.

The ceiling is a grid of concrete beams, and the lights are bright enough to cast long shadows across the polished wood. It feels enclosed, a place where sound stays inside rather than drifting away.

Crvena zvezda has called this hall home since it opened, and the relationship has remained constant even as other teams came and went. Partizan played here for nearly thirty years before moving on, and since October 2023, Maccabi Tel Aviv have also camped in the final third of the city's sporting life, forced to relocate due to the war in Gaza. The hall is small enough that the players can hear the crowd, and the crowd can see the sweat on the players' faces. It is not a stadium for giants; it is a house for basketball.

Outside, the building is a heavy block of concrete and brick, with yellow and blue panels jutting out from the upper levels. Birch trees line the path in front, their white bark standing out in the winter fog. The complex is quiet when the games are over, the seats empty and the court cleared. It does not draw attention to itself. It simply waits for the next match to turn it on.
