Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium
Ardiya, Kuwait
The Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium has never carried more than one name in its history, and it has done its job in Ardiya since 1965. It was never built for a tournament and never rebuilt for one either — no expansion, no FIFA-standard upgrade, just the same ground it opened as, now holding somewhere between 10,000 and 11,000 rather than the 15,000 it started with.
A running track still rings the pitch, a detail that dates the place as much as any plaque would. Al-Nasr SC has called it home from the very beginning; the club was founded on 13 June 1965, the same year the ground opened, and the two have not been separated since.
The Kuwaiti national team has occasionally used the venue as well, against Iraq in 2018 and Qatar in 2024, but it remains first and foremost a club ground rather than a national showcase.
