ASICS Satoyama Stadium

The first thing you notice is the steel. ASICS Satoyama Stadium is not a fortress of concrete but a skeleton of girders, an open architecture framed against the hills of Ehime Prefecture. The main stand is a steel structure raised on a concrete floor, designed not as a finished monument but as a base for something larger to come.

It opened in January 2023, replacing the older Arigato Service Dream Stadium. The pitch is natural grass, and the only stand visible in the wide shots is the covered main terrace. The atmosphere is defined by the space around it. It was built on land leased for free from the municipality, a decision that allowed the club to focus on the structure itself.

FC Imabari moved here with ambitions that outgrew the initial build. The capacity sits at 5,316, but the design anticipates an expansion to nearly 9,000 seats to meet the requirements of the J2 League. The club, which plays in the third tier of Japanese football, saw its first official match draw a crowd of 5,424, filling the temporary limit. The naming rights were acquired by ASICS in March 2024, shifting the identity from its original Imabari Satoyama Stadium title.
