Atik Stadion
Roosendaal, Netherlands
Formerly: Vast & Goed Stadion, RBC Stadion, Rosada Stadion, MariFlex Stadion, Herstaco Stadion, Stadion De Luiten
It is a stadium that has seen its name change more often than most clubs change managers. Atik Stadion in Roosendaal sits at Borchwerf 4, a location that has hosted football since 2000, when the previous ground, Sportpark De Luiten, was torn down to make way for the current structure.
It is one of the smallest professional stadiums in the Netherlands, yet every side, including the corners, is covered by seating. This setup means the crowd is tucked in close to the action.
RBC returned to this ground in 2013, two years after the professional club, RBC Roosendaal, went bankrupt. The amateur side has since played on the artificial turf, which was refurbished as part of a larger renovation project completed in 2022. That same year brought a new LED lighting system and a fresh coat of orange paint to the away end seats.
The ground has lived through financial crashes and sponsorship deals that have given it names like Herstaco Stadion and MariFlex Stadion, none of which stick in the memory quite like the simple fact that it is where RBC plays now.
It is not a place for spectacle.
