Bahtoo Stadium

Bahtoo Memorial Stadium stands where two busy streets in the city meet. Inside, the natural grass pitch is wide and flat.

The ground has a long history in the city. It was built during the colonial period by the British administration, initially for the Upper Burma Athletic Association. After independence, it was renamed Bahtoo Stadium in memory of Colonel Ba Htoo. For many years it was the largest stadium in the region until the Mandalarthiri Stadium opened in 2013. Yadanabon FC, a club in the Myanmar National League, has called this ground home since 2009, using it for their matches rather than the more distant KBZ Stadium.

The venue is not limited to professional football. In December 2006, the stadium held the final of the Myanmar Grand Royal Challenge Cup, where the national team beat the under-23 side 3–2. More recently, the ground has served a different purpose. Following the M7.7 earthquake in 2025, it was repurposed as a temporary relief camp.
