Located within the historic Begijnhof area of Overijse, the ground has always carried its name. It was built in the 1930s for the local club FC Overijse, though its current tenant is Tempo Overijse, formed through a merger in 1998.

What sets it apart is its quiet history of hosting elite talent. While it remains a local amateur venue, the England men's national team used the facility in November 2020 for training ahead of a UEFA Nations League fixture. Similarly, the Belgium U17 squad prepared for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Azerbaijan at this address in 2016. Other European sides have also used the natural grass pitch for preparation.

The capacity sits somewhere between 2,100 and 3,000 depending on the source, with an official attendance record of merely 584 spectators.
