Cars Jeans Stadion
The Hague, Netherlands
Formerly: Kyocera Stadion
The pitch at Haags Kwartier has not always been a football pitch. In 2014 it came up for the Hockey World Cup, the artificial turf swapped out for a hockey surface and then put back. The rest of the time it carries ADO Den Haag , and it carries them on artificial turf rather than grass.
The building itself came from Zwarts & Jansma Architects and was put up by Ballast Nedam, opening in the summer of 2007. All-seater from the start, which is what has allowed it to take international fixtures under UEFA's requirements.
What it has not held on to is a name. It opened as the Kyocera Stadion , spent years from 2017 as the Cars Jeans Stadion , and now trades as the Bingoal Stadion — three sponsors on the same walls inside two decades.
The roof has taken a hit since. Storm Eunice tore at it in 2022.
