Centro Sportivo Comunale

The name gives away nothing. Centro Sportivo Comunale is what a good number of small football grounds in Lombardy are called on the municipal register, and at least three of them turn up under it: one in Inveruno, one in Brusaporto, one in Mazzano.

Records put the ground's opening in 1990, and it has stayed modest ever since: room for 1,500 on the sidelines. The other two grounds sharing the same generic label follow separate paths. In Inveruno, west of Milan, U.S. Inveruno use a Centro Sportivo Comunale on Via Lazzaretto that some registers list at twice the capacity. In Mazzano, near Brescia, Polisportiva Ciliverghe Mazzano plays on artificial turf, a detail the regional football federation spelled out in writing more than once when fixtures were scheduled there.
