De Ebbenhorst

The main stand at De Ebbenhorst in Nijkerk shows its age in the orange and black seats, which were installed in 2010. The roof over this section was renewed in 2017, a simple renovation that has kept the structure dry for a decade.

A different view of the ground reveals a more modern approach to the facilities. This synthetic surface was replaced in the summer of 2022, bringing with it a new irrigation system and improved LED lighting. It is a practical setup for a club that has never sought a sponsor name for its home.

The complex extends beyond the main arena. To one side, additional fields stretch out, some covered in natural grass and others in newer synthetic material installed as recently as 2019. A small children's pitch sits near the edge of the development, a quiet reminder of the community roots that sustain the facility.

The atmosphere changes when a bigger club visits. In December 2019, the ground held a sold-out crowd for a cup match against NAC Breda, with 3,300 spectators turning out for a game that ended in extra time.

The name of the ground honours a former chairman, a detail that has remained unchanged since the stadium opened in January 1987. It replaced older facilities, but the name stuck. The club, founded in 1931, has played here ever since, moving through the lower divisions while the surroundings evolved around them.
