Formerly: Palace of Sports of the Leningrad Trade Unions "Yubileyny"
The Yubileyny Sports Palace opened in 1967, built for the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. The original parquet gave way to a hybrid system—a refrigerated ice sheet for hockey and figure skating, and a removable wooden court for basketball—supplied by AVK Group. The capacity rose to 7,012 after a renovation in 2008, with further work completed in 2016 ahead of the IIHF World Championship games.
HK Dynamo Saint Petersburg play here, as did BC Zenit before their move to the KSK Arena. The rink has hosted a UFC Fight Night, the European Figure Skating Championships in 1970, and, more recently, training sessions for figure skaters under coach Aleksei Mishin. It is a working room, not a monument.
