El Salam Stadium

Al Salam Stadium is a working venue for the military production side El Entag El Harby, though the visual identity of the place shifted when Al Ahly SC signed a 25-year lease in 2019.

The playing surface is natural grass, cut in a striped pattern that runs the length of the pitch.

The stadium has seen significant activity in recent years. It was renovated in 2019 to host matches for the Africa Cup of Nations, a tournament that brought international teams to the venue. During that period, it hosted ten matches, including a quarter-final between Madagascar and Tunisia. Before that, it was built to host games for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The temporary name change to Al Ahly WE Al Salam Stadium following a sponsorship deal with the telecom company WE was short-lived, and the venue reverted to its original designation, though the relationship with the Cairo giants remains central to its current use.

The capacity is listed at 30,000, though some sources suggest it is closer to 22,000, a discrepancy that does not affect the daily operation of the venue.
