Ertl-Erhard-Sportfeld
Fürth, Germany
Formerly: Charly-Mai-Sportanlage
The ground arrived in 2015, a clean slate for those who needed a place to play. Built by the municipality of Fürth, it sits in the Innenstadt district at Kapellenstraße 37. The name changed in 2023, shifting from Charly-Mai-Sportanlage to honour Herbert Erhard, a figure deeply tied to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. He passed away in 2010, and the renaming came years later, fitting a new era onto an old name.
It is an athletic ground. The capacity holds 2,500 people, enough for the youth teams of the local club and their women’s squad, alongside SF Fürth 1957. The surface is natural grass, cut and watered without pretension.
The complex includes the Julius-Hirsch-Sportzentrum hall, opened in 2017, linking indoor and outdoor play. But the focus remains on the pitch.
