Estadio Bicentenario de La Florida
La Florida, Chile
Formerly: Estadio Municipal de La Florida
The current arena is not the original. What stands at Enrique Olivares 1003 today replaced the old Estadio Municipal de La Florida, demolished and rebuilt from the ground up in 2008, with the reopening on 12 November that year timed to the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Chile 2008. The stadium hosted several matches of that tournament, including the final between the United States and North Korea on 7 December 2008.
The design came from Judson & Olivos Arquitectos, with Cidelsa supplying the tensile shade membrane that shelters the stands. That tenant is Audax Italiano , whose 12,000-capacity home this has been since the reconstruction.
Away from football, the ground has built a separate life as a concert venue, its capacity stretching to 25,000 for shows. Green Day have played it twice, in 2010 and again in 2017; System of a Down came in 2011, Kiss and Faith No More both in 2009, and later bills brought Rammstein, The Weeknd, Travis Scott and Maroon 5. It has also stepped outside its usual tenancy for cup football: in 2016 it staged the Copa Chile semi-final between Everton and Audax Italiano.
