Estadio Bicentenario Municipal Luis Valenzuela Hermosilla
Copiapó, Chile
Formerly: Estadio Municipal, Estadio Municipal de Copiapó
Work ran from late 2009 through the middle of 2011, and the rename honoured Valenzuela Hermosilla.
Deportes Copiapó have called it home since, and the artificial pitch has seen its share of tension. In December 2021 the club beat Deportes Temuco 3-1 here in the Liguilla de Primera B final. A year later, in November 2022, the first leg of the Liguilla de Ascenso against Cobreloa ended goalless on the scoreboard but not on the pitch — a brawl between players led to VAR sending off one man from each side, Nicolás Palma and Camila Ponce among those dismissed.
The stadium sits on Calle Conrado Araya in the regional capital of Atacama. No record of a crowd figure that stands out, and no history here of concerts or events beyond the football calendar.
