Estadio José Rafael Fello Meza Ivankovich

Cartago's ground answers to two names. It opened in 1949 as Estadio de Cartago and kept that name until 11 July 1973, when Cartaginés renamed it for José Rafael "Fello" Meza Ivankovich, a former player of the club.

The site sits inland from San José, in Barrio Asís. Its record crowd dates to 17 February 1980, the first leg of the Campeonato de Campeones final against Herediano, when 16,792 came through the gates; Cartaginés won the tournament that year. Sixteen years later, in 1996, the ground hosted the first leg of the Copa Interamericana final against Vélez Sarsfield of Argentina, finishing goalless.

The playing surface has not stayed the same throughout: in April 2016 the club replaced the old turf with natural grass. Weather has tested the ground more directly than opponents have at times — on 8 June 2024, a storm during a youth-team fixture tore off part of the roof and flooded the stands, forcing the match to stop; no one was hurt, but cranes were needed for the repair. The stadium has also gone dark for reasons with nothing to do with football, closed on occasion over the club's tax disputes with the Hacienda.
