Estádio Manoel Araújo de Oliveira
Vila Velha, Brazil
Formerly: Santos de Aribiri
Vilavelhense do not have a home ground so much as a neighbourhood pitch that took their name. In Aribiri, the district that gives the old identity of the ground its meaning, the club still plays as Vilavelhense Futebol Clube, but locals know the place by an older tag: Santos de Aribiri, after the Santos Futebol Clube side founded there in 1921 that first made the ground its own.
There is no record of when the current stand went up, and the club has never chased a bigger venue. A capacity of 1,000 tells its own story — this is a ground built for a district team's Sunday fixtures in the Espírito Santo state league, not for crowds bussed in from across Vila Velha.
The natural grass pitch on Rua Ramiro Leal Reis sits inside Aribiri itself, a few streets from the water that gives the district its working character. Nothing here has been rebuilt for a tournament or expanded for an anniversary; the ground has simply stayed what it was when Santos de Aribiri first laced up on it, passed down in name and function to the club that plays there now.
