Estadio Miguel Román

Dos Hermanas, Spain

The ground in Dos Hermanas was not built for spectacle. It opened in 1973. The pitch is artificial turf, fitted with LED floodlights .

Miguel Román García gave the stadium its name. Born in 1939, he played midfield and spent his life working with young players in the area. He died in 1995, and the club named the venue after him shortly after.

Dos Hermanas Club de Fútbol 1971 plays here now, competing in the Tercera Federación (Group 10). They were once in the Segunda División B, but that chapter closed long ago. The stands hold just over 3,000 people.

There are no top-flight matches played here. Real Betis and Sevilla FC do not send their first teams to this ground, but their veteran sides have turned up for charity events. One such match took place in June 2013, a tribute between legends of both clubs. Another gathering, the Triangular Navideño, raised toys for local children. These are not fixtures on any calendar, but moments that happened.

A fight broke out during a youth match in February 2017. A referee and a fan clashed, and the game ended early.
