Estadio Municipal de Chapeltique

The ground at 6a Calle Pte has spent the past decade being made ready for other people's seasons. Twice now the municipal pitch in Chapeltique, the district that serves as seat of the municipality of San Miguel Norte, has been brought up to Primera División standard — not because a first-division side grew up here, but because one needed somewhere to go.

The first of those calls came in 2017. CD Dragón were without a home while Estadio Juan Francisco Barraza was being remodelled, and the work carried out in Chapeltique was enough for the league to sign the venue off. Dragón played their first match on the ground on 18 March 2017, and stayed until the move to Estadio José Eliseo Reyes.

The second came in 2024, after CD Cacahuatique won promotion and the ground was prepared again — this time for a club that keeps its home fixtures here rather than waiting out a rebuild elsewhere.

What sits between those two dates is a straightforward sports complex: natural grass, floodlights, and no running track to push the touchlines away from the crowd. The venue answers to more than one name in the records — Complejo Deportivo de Chapeltique and Polideportivo de Chapeltique both refer to the same enclosure, and both still turn up in Salvadoran match listings.
