The Estadio Municipal Raúl Miranda sits in Yumbo, a municipality in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. The stadium opened in 1972, originally bearing the name Estadio Municipal Guachicona before being renamed in 2017 for Raúl Miranda Arango, a local sports leader. This shift in identity mirrors the changing fortunes of the clubs that call it home.

What makes the venue distinct is its role as a temporary refuge. When Cortuluá FC faced administrative trouble in Tuluá following relegation, they carried the side to Calle 16 for the 2023 Categoría Primera B season. The stadium also hosted their women’s team and later welcomed Orsomarso SC. Now, as of 2026, it is the home of Independiente Yumbo, a club established after Atlético Huila transferred its sporting license.

The structure itself tells a story of maintenance rather than grandeur. A major renovation in 2022 brought new lighting and repaired the natural grass surface, allowing for night matches.

While it has hosted national events like the 2008 Juegos Deportivos Nacionales and high-stakes Copa Colombia games, the atmosphere remains intimate.
