Estadio Norberto "Tito" Tomaghello

Defensa y Justicia have known no other home. The club took possession of the ground in the Gobernador Costa district of Florencio Varela, in Buenos Aires Province, on the day it opened with a friendly against Boca Juniors' youth side, and it has been their base through every season since.

The name on it now is not the one it started with. For its first years it was Estadio General José de San Martín; in 1990 the club renamed it for Norberto "Tito" Tomaghello, who had served as president over a long period, so that the ground carries the name of an administrator rather than a soldier — an unusual choice in Argentine football, and one made from inside the club.

The version supporters walk into today dates from the work carried out between 2014 and 2017. Wooden stands were pulled out and rebuilt in concrete, the main stand was enlarged, and the old standing areas were converted to seating. The ground holds fewer people than it did in its timber years, because seats take up room that terracing did not, and because the safety requirements applied afterwards were stricter than those it had lived under before.

Continental football arrives through the Copa Sudamericana: Botafogo in 2019, then Millonarios, Vitória and Always Ready. Domestically it takes San Lorenzo, River Plate, Gimnasia y Esgrima and Banfield in the Primera División and the Copa de la Liga Profesional, and has staged Copa Argentina ties at the round of 64 and round of 32, though never the final.
