Estadio Tigo La Huerta
Asunción, Paraguay
Formerly: Estadio Dr. Nicolás Léoz
La Huerta owes its name to Club Libertad's centenary: the ground was rebuilt from the old Estadio Dr. Nicolás Léoz and reopened under new colours in 2005, a rare case of a Paraguayan club stadium bearing the marks of its own anniversary rather than an anonymous municipal name. It stands on Avenida Artigas, on the corner with Cusmanich, in the Sajonia district of Asunción — a working neighbourhood ground rather than a showpiece built for a tournament.
Capacity has moved in steps rather than in one leap: for years the ground held around 10,000 to 10,500, a modest figure even by Paraguayan standards, before further works pushed it to its current 15,000. That trajectory says something about Libertad's own path — a club expanding its home gradually rather than commissioning a single grand rebuild.
The playing surface itself is a small point of disagreement among record-keepers: some describe it as a hybrid pitch, others simply as natural grass, and nothing in the club's own materials settles the question definitively.
What is certain is Libertad's ownership of the site: this has been their ground through the name change, the centenary rebuild and the later capacity works, with no tenant sharing the pitch.
