Estadio Víctor Agustín Ugarte

Potosi, Bolivia

Formerly: Estadio de San Clemente, Estadio Mario Mercado Vaca Guzman

The ground carries its third name. It opened in 1992 as the Estadio de San Clemente , after the district it stands in. After the first round of rebuilding and the installation of new floodlights in 2000 it became the Estadio Mario Mercado Vaca Guzmán . The current name arrived on 10 November 2007, timed to the anniversary of the Potosí department and to the reopening after a larger reconstruction carried out as Real Potosí headed into continental competition.

Víctor Agustín Ugarte , born in Tupiza, captained the Bolivia side that won the South American Championship in 1963. He also proposed swapping the national team's white shirts for green.

The stadium belongs to the state: the departmental sports service, Sedede, answering to the Potosí governorship, owns it and handles the turf replacement, aeration and lighting repairs. Real Potosí and Nacional Potosí are tenants. Neither the ground nor, reliably, the clubs maintain a working website.

Real Potosí played Copa Libertadores ties here in 2002, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012, beating Flamengo 2–1 in that last year; Nacional Potosí brought the tournament back in 2026 against Botafogo. The same year, Nacional Potosí beat Bolívar 2–0 in the Copa Bolivia final on this pitch. Bolivia's national team has never played here.
