Ferdi Neita Sports Complex

The ground did not bring Portmore United to Portmore. The club arrived first: until 2003 they played as Hazard United in May Pen, and the move to Saint Catherine came with a new name, a new town and this address on Zinnia Close, in the Newland part of Greater Portmore.

The setting is domestic rather than civic — a sports complex among the streets of a housing development, reached by a residential close rather than an approach road. The pitch is natural grass. Older match reports and federation listings still carry the venue as Ferdie Neita Park or Ferdi Neita Park.

What the complex does not stage is as telling as what it does. Cup finals and the national fixtures that need a crowd go to Independence Park; Zinnia Close keeps the league programme and the derbies that come with it. One of those, against Dunbeholden on 12 November 2023, ended 2–0 to the hosts, who found no answer to little of what the visitors offered that afternoon. Between fixtures the ground has also been used for local music events.

Since 2024 it has had a second tenant. Racing United came up that year and took the complex as their home ground, so the pitch now carries two clubs' fixture lists through a season rather than one.
