Zvolen has two grounds under one name. The old ground on Lučenecká cesta, home to MFK Zvolen and also known as Štadión Lokomotíva, dates back to 1902. Records disagree on how many it holds today, with figures ranging from 1,500 up towards 1,870.
The newer facility, Futbal Aréna Zvolen on Neresnícka cesta, is a different animal: an artificial pitch built to modern dimensions, laid down after a reconstruction that cost around two million euros. It was good enough to be picked as one of the venues for the 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
