The venue opened on 27 September 1942. Hellerup IK , currently in the Danish 2nd Division, plays its home matches here alongside Jægersborg BK.

What changed the place was a rebuild stretched across 2010 to 2016, which added a covered stand with 300 seats plus standing room for another thousand. Michael Jackson, AC/DC and U2 have all played here, and on those nights capacity swells to 15,000, nearly four times what a matchday crowd requires.
