Gipedo "Pantelis Magoulas"
Volos, Greece
Gipedo "Pantelis Magoulas" sits in the Nea Ionia district of Volos. The club built it on donated land, laying the foundation in 1928 before the official inauguration in 1930.
It is named after Pantelis Magoulas, a founding member and former captain who arrived in Greece as a refugee from Smyrna. In 2004, it underwent significant changes when it became an Olympic training center, forcing the reconstruction of the southern stand.
Today, the playing surface is natural grass, a change made in the summer of 2024 after years on artificial turf. The official seating capacity is listed as 2,600, but the effective space for spectators is often closer to 1,489 due to structural adjustments over the years.
