Gradski stadion Sveti Nikole

The Gradski stadion Sveti Nikole sits quietly in the Ovče Pole valley, a municipal facility operated by the local companies that assisted with its construction in 1965. It is not a ground for spectacle; it is a place where the community gathers. FK Ovče Pole, founded in 1925, plays in the Macedonian Third League after a stint in the second tier during the 1970s. The handball club RK Ovče Pole also calls this earth home. There is no official attendance record kept for matches here. The limit is strict at 300 seats.

There are no cup finals played on this grass, no major concerts that draw crowds from across the country. It is simply a place for football and handball in a town that values its traditions. FK Ovče Pole has played in driving rain and ground out the win many times since the gates opened nearly six decades ago. The supporters who remain are those who know every turn of the ball.

While other grounds in the country have been rebuilt for new competitions, this one has kept its original shape. The capacity does not grow with the seasons. It remains a small, intimate space where the sound of the crowd is not lost in the distance. It is the only such venue in the municipality, and for the residents of Sveti Nikole, that is enough.
