Greenwich Avenue

Greenwich Avenue does not open onto a wide sweep of terraces; it is edged by a tall, chain-link fence that keeps the game separate from the pavement. The surface is synthetic, a 3G pitch laid down in September 2016 to replace a natural surface that used to flood after rain. It is not the only such surface in the area, but it was among the first in the Northern Premier League to carry a FIFA approval.

The club moved here in 1991 after its old ground, Mill Street, was sold for housing. Locals still call the site the Mill Street Recreation Ground or Mill Street Playing Fields, and the two names are often used in the same breath. Capacity is listed at 2,400, though some sources say 1,600. The club rose through the non-league pyramid and had to upgrade the facilities to meet the standard, including a £25,000 bursary from Buildbase to extend the clubhouse in 2020.

Storm Eunice in February 2022 tore the roof off one of the stands. The highest attendance was 3,500 in 1937 for an FA Cup preliminary round against Grantham Town. The ground has hosted charity concerts, including the 'Samantha Birtles Trophy' in July 2021, which raised more than £40,000 for Treetops Hospice. It also hosts FA Trophy qualifying rounds and FA Youth Cup ties, such as a 1-0 win over Grimsby Town U18s in 2020.
