The roof is the first thing you notice. The building stands out against the blocky housing estates. The structure opened in 2006, but it was not always called Hala Globus im. Tomasza Wójtowicza. The change came in 2022, after the city council voted to honour Tomasz Wójtowicz, a volleyball player who died in 2021.
Inside, the floor is hard wood. It is marked for basketball and handball, and it is where the local teams play.
The building is not isolated. It is a working venue, and it works.
