The Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium sits in Doha. The ground has lived through disagreements. Some sources place its opening in 1976; others, including the club, insist on 2003. The capacity is a similar matter of contention, with figures ranging from 12,000 to 20,000.

What remains certain is the stadium's role in the 1988 AFC Asian Cup. It hosted the final, a 0–0 draw between South Korea and Saudi Arabia that was decided on penalties. That match drew the highest recorded attendance of 20,000. Since then, it has served as a training base for teams during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, even though it did not host a single match of the tournament itself. Today, it hosts the Qatar Stars League and the Emir Cup final.

Its renaming from Al Ahli Stadium to Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium is tied to the renovations of the mid-2010s, though the exact year is lost in the conflicting records.
