Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium

Dubai (Hatta), United Arab Emirates

Formerly: unknown

The ground stands in Hatta, the inland district of Dubai out by the Hatta Dam, a long way from the emirate's coastal grounds. It opened in 1981.

What changed the place was an order from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2016 to renovate it. The work was aimed at a specific target: the standards set by the AFC and the UAE Pro League committee. Afterwards Hatta could take their place in the professional league, and the stadium now hosts ADNOC Pro League football.

The scale stayed small. Capacity is 5,141, which means visiting sides from Abu Dhabi and the coast arrive at a ground that holds a fraction of what they are used to. The pitch is natural grass.

Cup football comes through as well. Hatta met Emirates here in the President's Cup on 8 December 2018, and league visitors have included Al Jazira, who played at the ground on 11 March 2021.
