Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center Stadium

The Harbin winter decides what happens on this pitch. In 2012 the grass simply did not come back in spring, and Harbin Yiteng spent 800,000 yuan bringing it back.

The ground was never really built as a football venue at all. When it opened in 2004, funded by the Harbin Gongda Group, it had neither a football pitch nor a running track; the football surface came later, fitted into what remains one part of a larger exhibition complex. That double life continues.

Football's turn came properly in August 2009, when the city put more than six million yuan into refitting the stadium for China's friendly against Senegal that September — the first full international played in Heilongjiang province. China returned in 2014 to face Jordan.

Tenants have passed through in short spells rather than settling. Harbin Yiteng arrived from Dalian and stayed from 2011 to 2015; Heilongjiang Lava Spring used the ground from 2016 to 2018 in the third tier. Heilongjiang Ice City play here now. The stadium carries no sponsor's name, though it is still sometimes called Harbin Sports Stadium.
