The Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium (Malay: Stadium Negara Hassanal Bolkiah) stands as the primary sporting venue in Bandar Seri Begawan. The ground was opened on September 23, 1983, after work began under Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III to mark the 1972 royal visit of Queen Elizabeth II. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah consented to the naming of the facility.

The most striking feature of the stadium is its lighting rig. The pitch is natural grass.

DPMM FC, a club owned by the Sultan's son, has played at the stadium since 2000. The Brunei national football team also uses the ground as its home. A major renovation project took place from 2021 to mid-2022. This work included replacing 30,113 stadium chairs and installing new LED floodlights to replace the older metal-halide lamps. The modernization lasted until October 17, 2023, when the stadium reopened with a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Indonesia. The venue is located at Jalan Stadium, Bandar Seri Begawan BB4313, and the capacity is currently listed at 28,000 spectators, following the recent updates to the seating arrangements.
