Huitang Stadium
Meizhou, China
Huitang Stadium does not sit in the city centre. It stands in Wuhua County, a district of Meizhou in Guangdong Province. Construction began in 2016, and the doors opened on the first day of 2019. The most striking feature is the roof structure. Meizhou Hakka F.C. Since then, the venue has hosted matches in the Chinese Super League and China League One, drawing crowds that occasionally exceed 16,000 for high-profile fixtures. Beyond league games, the stadium has hosted international events, including the Belt and Road Football Invitational and the Women’s Four Nations Invitational, both held in 2019. It is also scheduled to take part in the Men’s U16 football competition for the 15th National Games of China in September 2025. For the local community, it remains a place for amateur matches and youth tournaments, a public facility rather than just a sports arena.
