Stadium
Íþróttamiðstöð Seltjarnarness
Seltjarnarnes, Iceland
Formerly: Gróttuvöllur
The stadium does not stand alone. It shares the complex with a swimming pool and halls used for gymnastics, which means the ground is part of a wider daily rhythm in Seltjarnarnes rather than a dedicated football fortress. The pitch is known as Vivaldivöllurinn. The surface is synthetic.
A major expansion took place in 2019, adding a new hall, but the original structure from 1984 remains the backbone of the centre. The capacity is small, sitting at around 1,100, with only 300 seats available for spectators. The highest crowd recorded was 874.
The school uses the large halls for physical education during the day, while the swimming department of KR trains in the adjacent pool.
