By late July 2025 the pitch was laid and the gates were open. That kind of turnaround, on a site that hosted the old Expo grounds by the river bend, is the whole story here.
There is no old stand to point to. Ibercaja Estadio was called Estadio Modular while it went up, then Mini Romareda once people started using it, and only took its present name after Ibercaja signed on as sponsor, laid on artificial turf, and sits on Parking Norte de la Expo — a car park before it was anything else.
