Jinshan Sports Centre

Jinshan Sports Centre was opened to host an athletics competition, not a football tournament. It began life with a running track circling the pitch, built for the 2007 Shanghai Farmers Games. The track was later removed and replaced with more seats, converting the venue into a dedicated football ground.

The stadium sits in the Jinshan District. It has not acquired a name sponsor, so it remains Jinshan Sports Centre, or sometimes Jinshan Football Stadium. It has played host to Shanghai Shenhua in 2007, when the club used the ground for a short spell. The year after, Shanghai East Asia moved in after promotion, followed by Shanghai Zobon and later Shanghai Shenxin. Today, the reserve side of Shanghai Port, Shanghai Port B, calls it home.

It has seen cup football with its own rules. In 2016, Shanghai SIPG used the ground to host Melbourne Victory in the AFC Champions League, winning 3–1. They went on to top that group. The pitch is natural grass. It holds 30,000 people.

The stadium has also handled concerts. Mayday played there in 2018. It hosts international friendlies, including a recent meeting between the China U-23 and Malaysia U-23 sides. The ground is not the biggest in the city, but it holds its own.
