Mattoni Arena: Stadium in Karlovy Vary

The Mattoni Arena in Karlovy Vary replaced a makeshift venue in Dolní Kamenná that had been used since 1973. The old Zimní stadion had outlived its purpose, and the city commissioned BFB Studio to build something permanent. Construction began on 1 January 2007, and the main hall opened on 19 June 2009 at a cost of 1.5 billion CZK. The complex remains owned by the city’s company, KV Arena, s.r.o.

The main hall seats 5,874 for ice hockey. A practice hall and a ball sports hall, opened in 2015, sit nearby on the complex grounds.

HC Energie Karlovy Vary play their home games here. The arena has hosted international tournaments, including the 2010 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup and the 2011 Men's Volleyball European Championship. It can be configured for basketball or volleyball, though ice remains the primary surface. In May 2025, the complex was renamed Mattoni Arena following a sponsorship agreement with Mattoni 1873. Prior to that, it had been known as KV Arena since its opening.

Mattoni Arena is not a football ground. FK Teplice play at AGC Arena Na Stínadlech in Teplice, which opened in 1973 and has a capacity of 17,078.
