The ground sits at the edge of Horfield in Bristol. Bristol Rovers have played here since the late 1990s.
The most visible change came with the new South Stand, which replaced a temporary structure in 2023 to bring the capacity to 12,500. The natural grass strip is cut to 101 by 68 metres. The record crowd of 12,011 for an FA Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion stands as a reminder of when the local attention focused on this specific fixture. Other visitors have included Aston Villa and Manchester United.
The ground has also hosted rugby league and concerts.
