Mestský futbalový štadión Milana Janeka
Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia
Formerly: Štadión Okoličné
The name changes only in 2024, and it changes because of a person rather than a redevelopment for its own sake — the ground was re-christened for Milan Janek, folded into a second phase of works that added the finished stands, pitch heating and floodlights. That second phase followed an earlier one, in 2017–2019, part-funded by a grant of €750,000 topped up with a €375,000 loan, so what stands now is the result of two separate building campaigns rather than one push.
Before any of that it was known simply as Štadión Okoličné, after the district on this side of Liptovský Mikuláš, and the ground has stayed in the city's own hands throughout, run as municipal property rather than passed to a private owner. MFK Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš, a club dating back to 1934, plays its home fixtures here, currently in the Slovak second tier.
The pitch is natural grass, and the capacity, at 2,000.
