Minami Nagano Sports Park Stadium

The Minami Nagano Sports Park Stadium stands as a direct result of a league ambition. AC Nagano Parceiro won the Japan Football League in 2013 and found themselves in need of a venue that met the stricter requirements of the J1 League. The original facility was dismantled in August 2013 to make way for the ambition.

What remains is a structure defined by its U-shape, a design choice that earned the ground the nickname Nagano U Stadium in November 2016, a nod to both the architecture and the city’s Olympic history. The exterior presents a continuous, curved roofline supported by white steel columns, sheltering the tiers below. Inside, the rows of orange seats sweep around the natural grass pitch, with the lower and upper decks separated by a concrete band. The corners feature "Terrace Seats," partitioned blocks that resemble sumo viewing boxes, offering a small grouping distinct from the main seating.

The atmosphere is dictated by the geography. Located in the valley of Nagano, the stadium is enclosed by the stands, keeping the sound focused on the pitch. The surface is natural grass, maintained under the cover of the full roof. The capacity sits at 15,491, a number that reflects the city's willingness to invest in local sport. The pitch itself is the only thing that matters to the players, who found their way through tight games here. The crowd has seen moments like the 0–0 draw against Kataller Toyama in 2016, where the game went to review after a tight encounter. The ground does not host major concerts; it is a place for football, built for a specific moment in time and not changed since.
