Oracle Park

It opened with Pacific Bell Park before becoming AT&T Park and now Oracle Park , reflecting the changing owners more than any architectural shift. The stands are tight, built to keep the noise inside rather than letting it escape into the city.

Beyond the fence, the bay stretches out to the distant hills, a constant distraction for anyone watching the game. The stadium fell silent when the players stepped off the field, the only sound the wind coming off the water. It is a place where the game is played under a different sky than anywhere else in the league, where the fog can run out of legs and leave the field damp.
