The eight-lane athletics track running around the football pitch got the same treatment, resurfaced alongside new LED floodlight masts brought up to the French federation's E2 standard.

Locals still call the ground by its old nicknames, La Marmite and La Cuvette. That was Évian Thonon Gaillard, who arrived after a 2010-11 upgrade and left when the club folded in 2016. FC Annecy has played there since.

The capacity sits at 15,660, though the crowd for that Saint-Étienne match came in well under that figure. A training pitch alongside the main stadium was resurfaced too, switched to a synthetic, infill-free system for the club's day-to-day sessions.
