Perry Park

The real place is a rectangular pitch tucked into the Enoggera Park complex. The natural grass surface has taken the wear of decades, hosting everything from the 1977 NSL Cup Final to a 1994 World Cup qualifier. The capacity is small, a mere 5,000 spectators, which keeps the view of the action close. The ground has always borne the name of William Perry, an ironmonger who once used the land as a paddock before the Brisbane City Council acquired it.

Brisbane Strikers FC make it their home, while the facility occasionally hosts matches for Moreton City Excelsior when the crowd swells. The setting is neither grand nor isolated; it is simply a working ground near the city centre that has outlasted its original purpose as a football oval. The synthetic turf futsal court added in 2022 suggests a shift in priorities, though the main grass remains the primary stage for senior football. The standing room was reduced over time due to neighbouring development, making the 8,658 record attendance from the 1970s a distant memory.
