The ground at Ektorpsgatan has outlived three of its own names. It opened as Norrköpings Idrottspark in September 1903, and for more than a century that was what people called it. Only in 2009 did the renaming begin — Nya Parken first, then Östgötaporten from 2016, then PlatinumCars Arena from 2021. Four names, one address, and the same club walking out onto it: IFK Norrköping .
During the rebuild of 2008–2009 the natural grass was lifted and replaced with an artificial surface, SBR-granulate infill underfoot.
What the reconstruction cost, and what precisely was torn down and rebuilt in those two years, is not on record in the places one would expect to find it.
